Ohoveluk est née en 1935 à Rymer Point sur la côte ouest de l'île Victoria. Elle est la petite-fille de Charlie Keengenberg, un commerçant et explorateur danois qui s'est installé dans l'Arctique pour vivre la vie des Inuits. Artiste très talentueuse, Ohoveluk dessine principalement tard le soir ou pendant la nuit lorsque ses enfants dorment. Elle a le don de raviver avec une réalité extraordinaire des scènes de chasse et aime dessiner des compositions difficiles.

Ohoveluk was born in 1935 at Rymer Point on the west coast of Victoria Island. She is the granddaughter of Charlie Keengenberg, a Danish trader and explorer who settled in the Arctic to live the life of the Inuit. A very talented artist, Ohoveluk draws mostly late in the evenings or during the night when her children are asleep. She has the gift of reviving with extraordinary reality scenes of hunting and enjoys drawing difficult compositions.
